Can you spot the Labrador?

I am a freelance editor with more than 30 years of experience in the publishing industry. Before freelance life, I was the publishing director for a children's book publisher. Managing a team of editors, I helped to deliver 100 illustrated titles each year. 

Since starting a freelance career in 2023, I've worked on many brilliant books for children and adults, with projects using a broad range of editorial skills from proofreading to project management. I have recently written a series of non-fiction books for 6–8-year-olds that focus on taking small actions to help our planet, wildlife and people in our communities.

Books and writing are a huge part of my life. Since childhood, I've surrounded myself with books, and there is nothing I love more than researching non-fiction subjects for writing and editing projects.

My favourite pastime is to plan escapes to beautiful parts of the UK with my partner and our dogs. I am happiest when hiking, climbing and eating my way around stunning locations. This picture is in North Wales, 2022.
